Description
Commissioned by the Central Electricity Generating Board, this is one of a number of architectural views by Tristram Hillier. Although the power station was operational in 1956, when Hillier painted it, he shows it during construction, revealing an interesting industrial structure. He lived near Glastonbury from 1947.
